About

You have the power to energize the Ballroom Dance Club today!

The Ballroom Dance Club is a vibrant community of dancers dedicated to offering classes, mentorship, public performances and competitive dance experiences to Carnegie Mellon University and the broader Pittsburgh community. Our mission is to foster self- expression, creativity and companionship through dance.

Our club provides a welcoming space to explore and learn a variety of dance styles. We offer ten hours of lessons weekly, covering all skill levels and invite professional instructors to teach classes. Our competition team represents CMU with pride, sending over 30 competitors to six ballroom dance competitions each year. With a longstanding legacy at CMU and beyond, our members also enjoy connecting with a large ballroom dance alumni network across the country.

This October marked the third annual Carnegie Classic, our home competition that brought together 200 dancers from 20 schools.

We invite you to support our mission. Your generous donation would help us subsidize travel for our competition team and support our annual formal event, the Scotch Ball. We are grateful for your support.

Giving CMU Day is your chance to illuminate the next bright idea in the Ballroom Dance Club! 💡
