You have the power to energize Carnegie Mellon Racing today!
We are Carnegie Mellon Racing – an FSAE team made up of 150 students from all seven colleges on campus. Every year, we come together with one goal: To build the best collegiate racecars in the United States and compete at the highest level in the FSAE tournament against other student teams from around the world.
Last year, we were proud to place second at Formula Hybrid, and fourteenth overall at FSAE Michigan out of 79 teams, continuing our legacy as a top team in the United States. Additionally, we designed our second ever fully autonomous electric racecar, which completed five showcase laps at competition, reaching a top speed of almost 30 mph.
This year, we are taking on an exciting new challenge—completely redesigning our aerodynamic package. This will maximize the car’s performance in corners and make our car significantly lighter, giving us an edge in competition. We have been hard at work designing, simulating and validating our aerodynamic designs, but we are looking to raise $15,000 to fund the switch.
Your contributions will go a long way in helping CMR continue our legacy as a top team in America.
Let’s build a racecar! Giving CMU Day is your chance to illuminate the next bright idea in Carnegie Mellon Racing! 💡
