The CMU Filmmakers Pilot is a heartfelt collaboration among students from the Drama, Computer Science and English departments at Carnegie Mellon, coming together to create a 15-minute film in Spring 2025. After a collaborative pitch night where we’ll share our original stories, we’ll dive into development with the guidance of alumni and writer workshops this fall.
What makes this project special is that it’s entirely student-driven, allowing each of us to explore unheard voices and perspectives. For many of us, this is our first chance to take on new roles and learn skills in film production, all while crafting a story that resonates within our community, (and outside!).
