CMU Jiya is an all-female, fusion dance team. The team consists of 24 undergraduates. We dance in multiple styles including bollywood, Bhangra, Indian classical styles, contemporary, hip-hop, kuthu and more! We compete against other collegiate teams in the DDN and NDDL circuits as well as perform in Pittsburgh and across the country! We hope to raise money to help pay for a variety of expenses necessary to make the team as successful as possible. Due to our wide variety of national competitions and performances we have to pay for competition fees, travel expenses, such as rental cars and hotels, production costs for our sets and costumes and more. Any money raised would go directly towards helping us go to more competitions to represent Carnegie Mellon University on a national level. All donations would be greatly appreciated, and we thank you for your contributions to the team!
