About

The Humanities Scholars Program (HSP) enriches the undergraduate experience by building a vibrant community of scholars. We exemplify the distinctive nature of the humanities at Carnegie Mellon: interdisciplinary research in a technology-rich environment. In the HSP, our students participate in seminars and co-curricular events to better understand the intrinsic value of the humanities, engage in critical thinking, analysis and debate to consider some of our most complex issues, and further consider how approaches to solving problems can vary across different cultures.

Through your support on Giving CMU Day, you can help grow our programming, where students conduct research, domestically and internationally, through a humanistic lens to address the most challenging issues of our times.
