About

Gordon Weinberg, a beloved member of our teaching faculty, was recently honored with the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences Elliott Dunlap Smith Award for "Distinguished Teaching and Educational Service." This well-deserved award recognizes excellence and distinction in candidates as both teachers and educators.

Professor Weinberg has taught thousands of students and has mentored hundreds of teaching assistants over the years. For many, he has been instrumental in helping students thrive and succeed in their first year of college and is renowned for his care and commitment to students. This Giving CMU Day, we hope that you will consider helping us celebrate a dedicated member of our faculty and our exemplary teaching assistants by supporting the Weinberg Educational Excellence Fund.
