Shape the future of open scholarship. At Carnegie Mellon University, Open at CMU ensures research, scholarship and creative work are freely available to anyone, anywhere.
Since adopting one of the nation’s earliest university-wide open access policies in 2008, CMU Libraries have led in open access, open source and innovative research practices that connect our campus — and the world. Through initiatives like the Open Source Programs Office, Libraries Publishing Service and KiltHub Institutional Repository and events such as Open Hackathons and Love Data Week, CMU empowers students, faculty and staff to share ideas, collaborate across disciplines and push the boundaries of knowledge.
Your gift fuels this work — supporting open access publishing, expanding repository infrastructure, funding student fellowships and advancing tools that make research globally discoverable. Every donation helps accelerate discovery, broaden impact and ensure equitable access to knowledge.
