Carnegie Mellon’s ChemE Cube Team designs and manufactures a 1x1 foot, carbon capture cube to compete at the national ChemE Cube competition, powered by RAPID | Exxon Mobile. Despite its name, ChemE Cube is open to all majors and brings students together for a unique opportunity to learn and get hands-on experience outside of class! Competing as a mock start-up company, our members strive to innovate creative solutions against the pressing global issue of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Our members spend hours not only on researching and manufacturing the cube, but also preparing a shark-tank like pitch to mock investors, creating an advertisement video and presenting a formal technical research poster.
Membership in this student organization and participation in its programs/activities are available to all students at the University, regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, or any other protected class.
