Carnegie Mellon Rocket Command (CMRC) introduces students to rocketry through certification, competition and experimental projects. Each year, we design a high-powered technical rocket for the NASA University Student Launch Initiative, involving the design, fabrication and testing of all components.
Carnegie Mellon Rocket Command is fundraising to continue participation in the annual NASA USLI competition. USLI is a national competition where college teams design, build and fly reusable high-powered rockets to meet a specific NASA sponsored challenge each year. Additionally, more funds would allow us to support personal projects and certifications for team members.
CMRC will put all raised funds towards travel expenses, general fabrication materials, subsidizing certification rockets, and larger competition materials. We have a growing number of members every year which requires more funds to travel and support individual advancement.
