About

Join Us in Connecting Communities, Empowering Change, and Inspiring Global Citizens.

Juntos: Creating Ties is a student-led organization at Carnegie Mellon University dedicated to civic engagement, cultural exchange, and sustainable service. In partnership with the non-profit Bridges to Community (BtC), our members will travel to the Dominican Republic from May 12–19 to work alongside local leaders on projects that strengthen and empower their communities. BtC collaborates closely with local community members to develop long-term poverty alleviation strategies, promoting a more just and sustainable world through community-driven action.

Each year, Juntos members have the privilege of learning from and working beside residents of the Dominican Republic. Together, we’ve built homes, improved sanitation systems, supported educational workshops and shared meaningful cultural exchanges. These experiences inspire our members to grow as global citizens while making a tangible difference in the lives of others. Your contribution will help fund travel and project materials, ensuring that every member can participate and that our work continues to meet the community’s evolving needs. By supporting Juntos, you are helping students and families abroad build stronger, healthier and more connected futures one bridge at a time.
